What we’re about

You don't need to be a voracious reader or have read the classics to enjoy our book club. We are a light-hearted group who like to socialize as well as find the time for a book a month. Come to laugh, share stories and make new friends!

How do we pick the books?

People who love reading have favorite themes, genres, authors, and books. We want to make sure that members can include their favorites by suggesting books considered for the club’s monthly selections. A monthly poll is used to pick books and the poll offers three books that share a common thread. If you have a favorite book, please suggest it and we can help by finding similar ones to include in the poll. If you can suggest all three, please do.

Suggestions can be made at any time. We’ll work to vary the types of reads. When something you’ve suggested is going to be used, we’ll be in touch to make sure that what you think makes it a good choice is included in the poll’s intro. The poll for the following month’s book comes out the Thursday or Friday after the current month’s meeting on the third Wednesday and closes at 7:00 p.m. on the following Monday. The results are shared with the club once they are available. Details about the next month’s meeting are posted shortly after that.
