Fall Fiber Festival of Virginia

It's festival season again! Time to stock up on you local and indie dyers for the winter ahead.

Festival admission is $5.00, payable only in cash.

Credit cards are accepted by most vendors via Square wallet, WePay or Paypal.

The time on the event is when we will be meeting up at the actual festival. We'll be meeting up at the Carpe Donut cart which looks like this:

It's generally good practice at a fiber fest to get in early so you have first shot at the yarn selection available. The festival gates open at 10 am on Saturday, so the plan is to get their early, shop for an hour, and then meet up at 11 to oooh and ahhh over initial purchases. You're welcome to show up late, or stay late, but much like the Powhatan Fiber Festival this is an open event where people sort of show up and hang out or just browse on their own.

In regards to carpools: Comment on the event if you would like to offer a ride or need a ride. I know that in previous years people have had plans afterwards so they weren't really available. Never hurts to ask though!

Weather wise: Last year this event was very hot and humid, despite being closer to the mountains. I suggest layers for the morning and bring a water bottle.

I hope leaving Richmond at 9 am would be enough time to make it to the festival by 11 and see hot donut guy... oh, and you all :-P

I'll be driving out but I'm not sure how long I'm staying at the festival. Probably not as long as last year because I got a nice selection last weekend. I have room for 2 more people to ride with me, but I plan on going apple picking afterward so you'd need to be interested in that too :)

I can drive. I have room for 3 in my car. I live in Mechanicsville and can meet up/pick up at the Burger King on Rt. 30l, just before the entrance to 295 to Charlottesville. Please let me know if this is good for you. Meet at 8:30 for the 1 1/2 hour journey. Looking forward to lots of inspiration on Saturday!

I think I could drive if need be. My car goes through inspection sometime in the next couple of week, so as long as I don't get any unexpected surprises!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
