Team LUNA Chix Ride Like a Girl

Team LUNA Chix Richmond Mountain Bike

Downtown Ride  9/18

Thursday September 18 at 6:00 pm, meet at Forest Hill Park at the Parking Lot at the intersection of 42nd Street and New Kent Avenue, Richmond, VA 23225

Come out and join us for our last Ride Like a Girl (RLAG) as LUNA is retiring our team at the end of this season in 2014.  The team has been in Richmond for several years and many of you all got your start mountain biking with us.  We are sad to say goodbye to this team and the unique opportunity that it has provided for women to start in the sport of mountain biking through a supportive environment to learn skills, gain confidence and meet new friends.

We hope that you all can also help us reach our fundraising goals for the Breast Cancer Fund (BCF) this year too!  Just $5 will help and it is all tax deductible. BCF has been instrumental in removing BPAs from water bottles and is now working with companies like Campbell's and Progresso to remove them from cans.  Yes, canned foods contain BPAs.....did you know that???  Most of us don't so don't feel alone.  The BCF also works remove toxins from other household products and working on legislation to require companies to list all ingredients on cleaning products.  They also sponsor an app called "Think Dirty" which allows you to scan cosmetics to see if they contain harmful ingredients.

So, come ride with us for our last group event and join us for dinner and drinks afterwards at Galley in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center on Forest Hill Avenue at 8 pm.  We will be announcing the three winners of our Frequent Rider Program and have some giveaways for everyone!!!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
