Brighton with friends - Intermediate Only

Don't usually like cycling on any day other than on a Sunday, however, my arm has been severely twisted..

London to Brighton, always a favourite and I will be riding with some (slow) friends of mine, so this ride will be classified as an Intermediate ride.

We will be on mainly country roads away from busy traffic. Within touching distance of Brighton, we will once again meet our old foe Ms Beacon. Do you dare to take her on?

The overall distance is about 55 miles and the ride should take about 4-6 hours.

Scheduled as a one way ride with return journey by train.

You will need to bring with you a puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube, lights and money for dinner and your train fare home.

If you are unable to attend, please alert the host(s) or amend your RSVP accordingly. Failure to do will result in you being omitted on future rides.

The crosswind after Ditchling was so terrible & it was taking control of the bike coz carbon wheels .Basically i was forced to the grass couple of times but made to Brigthon & luckily found the group .Hope you had a good dinner

Sounds a bit scary - could feel my own bike almost being blown over!

Great ride even though the weather was challenging. Good to concur Ditchling Beacon on my road bike. Wish I could have stayed for post ride drinks!

I concur :-) great ride and definitely an experience with those insane cross winds on Ditchling and that torrential downpour. Shame you couldn't stick around - the hot chocolate was pretty good (no marshmallows but plenty of whipped cream).

Sounds great. I ate like a horse at the dinner party though!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
