Brighton ~ Intermediate+ Level ~ with Claudia

London to Brighton, a perennial favourite of RPCC and it's almost good enough weather for us to forget how windy it can be during the winter.

We will be on mainly country roads away from busy traffic. Within touching distance of Brighton, we will once again meet our old foe Ms Beacon (Bitchling Deacon, as the locals call her). Do you dare to take her on?

The overall distance is about 55 miles and the ride should take about 4-6 hours.

For Intermediate+ and Intermediate riders, this is scheduled as a one way ride with a return journey by train.

You will need to bring with you a puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube, lights and money for dinner and your train fare home.

If you are unable to attend, please alert the host(s) or amend your RSVP accordingly. Failure to do will result in you being omitted on future rides.

Old Chinese proverb - when U have train to catch, don't be dawdling up the high st! Hope you all got on the later train OK. Next time I'm definitely riding back - respect to those that did. It was crap on the train - slow and packed.

Ps - sorry for leaving those behind that failed to catch the early train, where we're you!

Good ride as always. Thanks all.

I see that the Tour of Britain is following in our wake and taking on Ditchling. Where we go, others follow it seems :)

Next time I will insist! The route back was incredibly picturesque. We kept saying on the way back that it was like a completely different ride. And whilst it was undulating, there were no tough hills, and we paced ourselves nicely. You guys would have nailed it. Saw Niall and Paul back at the H&H and they told us about the train lark - sorry to hear that.

Hi Claudia, I will be out late this Saturday and will struggle to get to RP by 8am. I will have to skip this ride and join you all on the next ride. The weather forecast looks good so hope you all have a great ride

Hi Claudia, is there any gpx for this ride ?
In case it's missing, can I propose my route ?
I did it a couple of months ago and mostly it's
    out of main traffic road.

Would love to join you on this but am going to the USA this weekend. Still havent come for a ride yet (I suck) but have been avoiding riding over the last month because of an accident which knocked my confidence. Will see you soon though.
