London to Brighton needs no introduction and will be a truly memorable experience for those who have never attempted it before.
We start from our usual meeting point in Richmond Park and ride out of London heading south towards the coast.
Once out of London we will be on mainly country roads away from busy traffic. Within touching distance of Brighton town centre, we will meet our old foe; Ditchling Beacon. Do you dare to take him on?
The overall distance is about 65 miles and the ride is rated as intermediate. You must be able to keep up with the pace of the main group. You should be able to maintain a pace of at least 12 - 15mph and have ridden such distances in the past.
If you are unable to keep up with the group, you may be required to bail out. We will stop for breaks as needed and we will have lunch once we get to Brighton.
Scheduled as a one way ride with return journey by train. The price of this ride is £10 payable via Paypal and includes your train fare back to London. No refunds given as train tickets have been booked.
You will need to bring with you a puncture repair kit and a spare inner tube, as well as money for dinner and your train fare home. And don't forget your camera to capture those unforgettable moments!
If you are unable to attend, please alert the host(s) or amend your RSVP accordingly. Failure to do will result in you being omitted on future rides.
