Oh, what a night! Bingos and great closing plays abounded!

As a team, we averaged 1.1 bingos per game; the highest average on record this year!

Sixteen bingos were made by 11 different players, including five who scored two bingos each! Congratulations Kate Gushee, Babs Ferraioli, Sam Crowe, Carl ‘Mac’ MacAllister, and Scott ‘Zarf’ Gordon!

In one game, four bingos were scored by three separate players and in a “one-two punch” Kate Gushee landed two back-to-back during her opening two plays of the game!

On the other end of the spectrum, three used bingos to shut down their games and pull in significant unplayed tile points in the process!

Here were the Best Closing Plays of the night:

• 93 points scored by Scott ‘Zarf’ Gordon: 65-point bingo play + 28 unplayed tile points; going from 110 to 203 in a flash!
• 93 points scored by Carl ‘Mac’ MacAllister: 79 point bingo play +14 unplayed tile points; leaping from 142 to 235 in an instant!
110 points scored by Babs Ferraioli: 90 point bingo play + 20 unplayed tile points; catapulting from 108 to 218 in no time!

And to top it all off, your host Sam Crowe won each of the three games he played!

New members Dale Hankins and Judy Kirkendall attended. Welcome! We look forward to Scrabbling with you again!
