Motorcycle Ride on Sunday March 11th

Me and a couple of my friends are planning a ride on Sunday March 11th - anyone care to join us? Maybe the Chicken Run 370 (http://www.sundaymorn...) or suggestions welcome. Maybe start at a reasonable time in the morning and include lunch?

The suggestion we're going with starts near Highway 6 and Ft. Bend Parkway Toll road, runs down FM521 towards Rosharon, heads west on FM1462, then heads north on FM762, winding up at Brazos Gardens.  This is an interesting ride with several twisty spots and is very scenic. The ride is about 41 miles and should take about an hour to 90 minutes to complete.  We can have lunch at the end of the ride as it's near Richmond and there are a number of restaurants in the vicinity.

This is not a fundraiser and as such is not sponsored by MD Anderson.  Just a chance for us to knock the dust off our bikes and welcome spring!  Hope to see you join us!

Agreed - I wont be risking it - not a nice day. Lets try again some other day.

I have been looking at the weather and I think we are going to encounter rain. Based on the route, it would not be the safest idea as a group to go down wet windy roads, especially if there are puddles in the roads. This summer has been hard on the roads leading to cracks and pot holes that might be hard to spot in the rain. My suggestion is to reschedule the ride today. ~Jason

Maybe we can make the call in the morning by 9am? At the current time the weather does not look promising for the ride. ~Jason

If it is raining, I guess we'll call it off and try and do it another day?

I think the plan is to meet at the Shell Gas Station that is linked to the post by Patrick above - see everyone there at 11am on Sunday!

May I suggest taking Sandy Point Rd about 2 miles prior to getting to 1462. There is a little white church on the right with a short red and white sign with white lettering. This road has some nice turns and you end right back on 1462 later on down the way. Then you would take a right just like normal. I would go but I will not be in town that weekend.
