Hi Bill, so nice to hear from you, hoping the rain has ceased and you're able to enjoy the lake with your friends:-) Wonderful to hear you are enjoying "The Kadampa Way of Life", a happy mind is a sign your practice is working, enjoy! Many blessings, Dechok

Sorry I missed the meditation this week and will miss next week. I am vacationing in Maine and right now it is pouring down rain. I am here with several friends and due to the rain, we have each gone to our own places after lunch. I am grateful to have this quiet time to think about what we have been learning over the past Wednesday evenings. I'm also reading the meditation handbook and mediating on some of the quotes from "The Kadampa Way of Life". It's great to be able to enjoy a rainy day and I thank you for that. Later I will be back together with my friends for dinner and the close of a very nice day. As much as I am enjoying it here, I also look forward to coming back to our class.

exhaustion induced inertia....I can relate to that.

It sounds similar to "museum gravity" -- that heaviness I experience after being taken to museums all afternoon by my family....

First time, so a bit fidgety, but enjoyed the teachings and meditation. Great space, added to the spirituality of the experience. Acoustics a bit tough.

had difficult time following teaching. I was very tired and felt like I was dosing off, but the meditation was great. Harder to do at home, but each Thursday morning, by mood and attitude regarding the practice feels stronger.

I will be away the 11th and 18th so I won't be able to attend. I'll miss it but try to keep it going by reading and meditating on my own
