Medicine Wheel Training THREE DAY WEEKEND INTENSIVES

  • June 28, 2013 · 9:00 AM

Medicine Wheels offers a process for personal exploration and growth based on modern shamanism and original traditions from around the world. The practices are profoundly spiritual and rooted in nature. They provide a powerful map for coming “home” … freeing us from old habits of mind and body – holding each of us as we heal the past and cultivate our aliveness.

The Medicine Wheel is taught in a two year cycle where participants meet for three days every four months to share new medicine teachings and practices, learning many ways to make a better life. We end with a powerful integration Session, mastering and consolidating the teachings. During the five Sessions of this training program, we learn the world view and seeing skills of the shaman, enhancing our capacity for transformation, creation and availability to life. We shed the hold our past has on us – the way the cosmic Serpent sheds her skin – in fluidity and without struggle. As we continue, Jaguar teaches us how to free ourselves from the way death and violence stalks us, and to live with unconditional compassion. Eagle shows us the way to view our lives in a framework of vision and connection. With these medicine archetypes, which we explore in Session One, we release ourselves into the timelessness of the Mystery Teachings that allow us to access our deepest knowing and power, our ability for authenticity and honest awareness – as we cultivate radical aliveness.

Classes are fun and experiential! We engage in self-exploration, sharing, writing, meditation, journeying, in ritual and ceremony. Each group that studies together becomes a medicine tribe community. The workshop cost is $450 for each 3-day weekend. And, private mentoring as well as other services are offered by Rising Fire to support each student’s healing and unfolding freedom.

The Medicine Wheel is facilitated by Elly Rosenthal, M.A. & Rosemary Beam, shamanic healers & teachers working in the Peruvian mountain tradition. Experienced workshop leaders, they integrate mystery teachings from Buddhist dharma, Native North American influences, European shamanism & non-duality.
