Trance Dance Meditation - dance, move, stand still, lie down, and sweat it out. Guided and free-form dancing to practice different states of being - play and dance out different emotions, release fears, get exercise, meet great people, learn to use and harmonize excess energy or increase your energy, strength, and immunity.
Energetic Theater - sort of a blend of expressive arts/drama therapy and dynamic meditation based in ancient and modern psychology, sociology, and empowerment theories that help us to understand different roles we play in our daily lives, how to recognize roles others play, and how to consciously choose appropriate roles with each other. Great for relationships - intimate, familial, business, creative....Changes situations with joy, laughter, and ease! Promotes understanding, peace, collaboration.
Art of Eating - A holistic look at what nutrition really is and how you can feel more nourished, satiated, and live a healthier lifestyle through paying attention to your breathing, the food you eat, different rhythms and cycles/personal needs, and impressions you receive . Many nutrition paths from ancient to modern times and from a variety of cultures are integrated. Deep understanding of many food preferences, allergies, etc.
Raw Food Pot Luck and Lectures - Not just raw food, also includes ayurveda, macrobiotics, and more, but a lot of knowledge on why fresh, organic, sprouted, local foods really are healthy for you! We can even prepare in front of you for you to taste and experience!
Creative Arts -Everyone has unique talents. We are not often supported in fully growing, perfecting, and utilizing our talents, but in these meet ups we are going to unleash our creative sides and learn what we can do with these talents - how the arts heal - empower - inspire, how to unlock very great mental power most people never tap into, how we can create a new world of possibilities through drawing, sewing, molding clay, painting, acting, crawling in sand, or playing music...
We're all about becoming stronger, healthier, happier, more empowered, more free, more flexible, less inhibited by patterns, fears, low emotions, unconsciously motivated ideas that are not personally and thoroughly tested and thought through.
We don't believe we need substances to have a good time either so we'll be offering some really healthy alternatives through pot lucks, juice and smoothie tastings, and heck... maybe we'll manage to arrange all night dance parties, philosophical hikes, or biking journeys with friendly organic pillow battles from time to time just to bring out the inner child and get to know each other better

She is a certified Sivananda Hatha Yoga Instructor, nutritional consultant, artist, and aspiring author who weaves together her life experiences in an approachable way of health called Cultural Detox.
Karen is certified in Holistic Nutrition & Natural Health, a Usui Reiki Master and a Certified Raw Food Chef. She has engaged in spiritual studies and practice for over 30 years. She continues to study and share the wisdom traditions from many cultures. Karen’s mission is to inspire and empower you to live your highest purpose and to help you bring joy to your life.
