July Knitting Session 2

There is nothing quite like spending the afternoon knitting with a fun and social group down by the river. Additionally, now is also the best time to get a headstart on new projects and patterns! When the weather gets chilly, you will have a scarf, hat, sweater, shawl, or other creations completed by then!

Come and get your projects started on Sunday, July 21 from 4-6pm at River District Centre. We're looking forward to seeing you here!

Have you tried www.ravelry.com? It's free to join and they have 100s of free patterns. Scarves and dish cloths are easy beginner projects, but I think a really easy project is knitting a simple hat in the round, because you only have to knit and there's no purling invoved. Also check out knittinghelp.com where there are free videos to show you some of the knitting basics.

Sorry to have dropped out like this but I just don't seem to be able to find the right project. Any suggestions for a beginner like me on something utilitarian but easy (along with how I find instructions) would be greatly appreciated. Missing the group but no point if I don't have anything to knit!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
