The purpose of this meetup group is to share the tools of meditation, yoga and qigong so we can all live in health, harmony and awareness. There is a weekly gathering on Wednesday nights that begins with an hour of gentle yoga followed by either mindfulness or loving kindness meditation and 10 minutes of qigong energy work. You don't need any prior experience to attend these gatherings. They are open to everyone. 

I have been practicing meditation and yoga for almost 20 years and it is has changed my life in countless positive ways. It has the potential to:

--manage symptoms of chronic stress

--prevent anxiety

--help you improve your relationship with yourself and others

--increase serotonin production and good moods

--decrease headaches and muscle tension

--normalize blood pressure

--improve focus and concentration

--strengthen the immune system

--free you from habitual negative emotions

--uncover joy, gratitude, and contentment

--reveal timeless awareness

 

These meetups have been going on for several months and others attend outside of the meetup community so the meetup RSVPs won't accurately indicate how many people attend the event.
