Prenatal yoga is an ideal way to keep your body and mind well during pregnancy. The gentle postures help tone and strengthen muscles and improve balance, circulation, and flexibility, all of which can aide in the alleviation of swelling, back pain, sciatica, and other common pregnancy aches and pains. Deep breathing techniques help dispel stress and calm the anxious mind during pregnancy, but are particularly useful when employed during labor and childbirth. Prenatal yoga is beneficial through all three trimesters. A weekly yoga practice allows you to fully experience the calming and strengthening benefits, even in the last couple of weeks!
