Innovating on BIM

Innovating on BIM

BIM has been mainstream in the AEC industry for more than a decade, so it follows that the industry is now looking at innovating on what is available.  In many ways, building information technology has prompted a change in how the AEC industry works, and those resistant to change may not be fully realizing the benefits of BIM.  In this roundtable we will discuss how BIM and innovation are related and how the interaction of the two are perhaps forcing changes in our industry.

Good discussion. Introspection is healthy. What about a session where we share some examples or bring in a speaker that is really pushing BIM? Someone at the bleeding edge?

That's a great idea. Do you have anyone in mind? Or are you yourself volunteering perhaps? ;)

Nope, I get work done and enjoy BIM a lot, but, not pushing any bleeding edge ;-) Anyone doing serious energy analysis, FM workflow, or Dynamo would be cool to see.

Good overall topic and discussion, we need to have a follow up of what practical steps we can individually take to help induce change in the industry.
