Clinton River Riders Winter ride

The CRR winter ride is on Saturday’s at 9am we ride from 8 ½ (Toepfer)
& Gratiot for 32 miles. The pace is 13-17mph and we have a 10 minute
midpoint stop. Our threshold is 25 degrees and the roads must be clear of
moisture. Bring your heavier bike with wider tires, this is only to keep warm with
some base miles thru winter.

I am flexible to ride earlier during the week. Tuesday is my only day that I'm not available. I do have a heavier bike. I'm just starting to ride. I haven't done long distance with speed on. I fact I'm going to pull it out tomorrow. When is your next ride.

I rode all spring and summer. I'm not just re-entering biking. But whatever you suggestions. I'm amenable to it.

This Saturday, I won't be able to. I have to take a realestate class on my birthday. Have a great ride. Keep me posted on future events. Again, I'm sorry for not making it this past Saturday. I listened to the weatherman and decided not to go.

Good luck on the class. We will still be here. CRR has a website with our ride calendar, mostly rides are now on weekends. Unless you have flexible schedule to do 9am rides on Wed or Thurs. CRR has a Facebook page too.

Yolanda, it might be best to join us for a Saturday ride before going on one of the week day rides. Their pace is usually 15-19mph and distance is 40-55 miles. Often I advise most that are getting back into cycling to be able to ride 1 hour at 15 mph. Then your bike and body are both ready for more. The Saturday ride is like 2 15 mile rides since we are off the bikes for a few minutes in GP. Any bike is good for the Saturday ride.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
