Mysticon 2014

Roanoke Robotics is back for our 3rd consecutive year at Mysticon !  We present a 3 hour seminar on robotics.
Its a Show & Tell for "something completely different", largely adult audience at the Sci Fi convention, but not exclusively. This is really fun event, the audience are technology users, inquisitive and very imaginative.

Kevin's Bro-Bot is always the most popular attraction, but we'll see if that stands true this year  :-)

Presenters get a free day pass to Mysticon, but we are usually capped to 5 or so free passes.

Please go to the previous year's meetups to checkout the photos.

Wow - Mysticon sold out a week in advance. Special Thanks & Appreciation to Kevin who drove 12 straight hours from Orlando just to be with Roanoke Robotics for Mysticon. What a great team of Show & Tell for the conventioneers, thank you Kevin, Tim, Mark, Victoria, Jay, Shellie & Phoenix. We met alot of interesting new people, and reconnected with others from previous conventions. We were asked to participate in community events later this year, more on that as they develop.
The Schilkes had alot of fun & compliments with their professional looking revamped Dalek (in Steeler colors). The Greeter Bots , Mr Baby & BoneBot, roaming the convention hallways throughout the day also was a well received concept that we can build on for future similar venues.

The following people have volunteered to work, and will get free passes: Gary, Tim, Jay, Shellie, Phoenix, & Kevin. All others who have not volunteered to work would need to buy a ticket to enter. If you want to volunteer to work during the event, please talk to Gary or me. Thanks!!

Those who intend to present robotics projects at the Mysticon seminar 9-11:30AM need to let me know by Feb 1st to be included on Mysticon's exhibitor roster. There is a limited number of day passes for presenters, and may be only a couple passes left.
I'm a little nebulous on the final roster. Thank you.
