Hello! I'm Kevin... I love robotics, education, building, sharing and learning. This club is to bring together folks who are interested in Robotics. Contact me for more info anytime. Kevin
Please introduce yourself, and describe your interest in robotics.
I've been involved in hobby Robotics since 2005 ... I have coached school robotics teams, participated in adult robotics contests, mentored robotics teams, and built various robots for contests and for fun.
What types of robotics do you enjoy, and what types of robotics are you interested in learning about?
I like Robots that are fun, that fly, drive, or swim ... remote-controlled, or autonomous. I enjoy building & flying RC aircraft, and flying via FPV (i.e., "first person view", the view from the model aircraft's cockpit, via wireless video camera)... for example: http://vimeo.com/6028984 I'm currently building a semi-autonomous FPV UAV, to fly to waypoints and back... for fun.
What other interests & hobbies do you have?
Besides robotics ... I also love flying RC aircraft, teaching, learning, reading, hiking, science fiction, astronomy, kayaking... and learning many languages, especially German, Japanese, Spanish, Dutch, Mandarin, etc... Also, I'm working on a perpetual motion machine... ha, ha! ;-)
