I'm a recent grad of Virginia Tech in Computer Engineering. I have designed and built robots of all scales. At Virginia Tech, I was captain of the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Team, and I have worked with robotics at VWCC since 2006.
Hello, my name is Micah Boswell. I have been interested in robotics since I participated in the VWCC autonomous robotics competition in 2006, although my interest in electrical and mechanical engineering projects goes back much further than that. I helped organize the VWCC robotics competition each year until 2008, when I transferred to Virginia Tech. There I joined the Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Team, where I got the opportunity to work on a much larger scale project for three years.
Most of my experience with robotics has been with submarines, although what I enjoy the most is teaching robotics to kids. What I want to learn about next is flying robots, perhaps constructing an UAV or MAV.
I am a software engineer as well; I have written software similar to dropbox or google drive that can be run on a home server with minimal setup, supporting full encryption and revision control (similar to time machine on mac).
I certify that I'm 16 years old or older. MB. 12/18/2012.
