Please describe your interests in robotics.

I teach courses in circuits, electronics, digital systems, and microcontrollers. I also teach an intro course that uses robotics to introduce programming and creative design, and direct undergraduate research projects primarily in robotics.

What types of robotics do you enjoy, and what types of robotics are you interested in learning about?

My principle interest in robotics is the application of computational intelligence (neural networks, fuzzy logic, and evolutionary computing) to the development of robot brains. I am a co-inventor on a patent involving a tick-destroying robot.

What other interests & hobbies do you have?

I play bass in the Jurassic rock band: the Coprolite Band and am currently investigating using neural networks to model vacuum-tube amplifier characteristics.
