Just thought I'd drop y'all a line and tell you that the Snap Circuits XP kit is working out great. We just got it yesterday. Took some trial and error to get it all set up, but nothing too hard. My eight-year-old son is doing all sorts of beginning programming projects using the XP kit and the PicAXE programming editor. Eventually we will try the robot hack with his Snap Circuits Snap Rover, but for now, he's working through the projects in the book.

Prior to buying this, he used another program called Robomind, which allowed him to program a virtual robot. We have been using the free version of this program, and it seems to work great.

Thanks and see you eventually,

Cathy Sizer
