What is your experience with robots (or electronics, programming, mechanics)?

I'm a software engineer turned hardware engineer, and that bias shows in a lot of my work. I built an Ultimaker 3D printer and I'm now using it for current projects.

What are you hoping to learn/experience in this group?

Meet technically minded early adopter type people (like me!) and expand my understanding of what's possible in robotics and open hardware (and at at what cost).

Would you be willing to host and/or provide tools for a meetup?

Yes, I have a garage, aka "Maker Shop" with drill press, 3D printer and soon to be laser cutter ( kit).

Would you be willing to teach the group a specific skill? What skill would you share?

Soldering, 3D printing, OpenSCAD, Arduino programming

Maker, hacker, business developer, philosopher. My project this year is a camera slider called the Cinemaker Pocket Dolly (http://makerslide...) It currently uses an Arduino UNO with grbl software to move the camera around. Working on version 2.0.
