Canal Tow-Path Walks====open for all members to edit

If anyone would like to participate in this walk, RSVP yes and in the comment area you can correspond with others who might also want to walk. Also, where should everyone meet that want to walk together, this also can be discussed in the comment section.

This meetup will no longer have an organizer, it will mostly be here as a suggestion for people who want to do a walk with other people and their dogs.  Whoever is interested can take it from there.

Thank you!

We just finished at the mi d fields. Dogs and kids need a hose. Heather and w are going to miss the canal walk this time.

I think it looks like for those who want to romp for a little while, we are meeting at the field up behind the the soccer field on Ayrault (Center Park East I believe see info below) at 10:15 and afterwards a walk on the canal once mine is quieter. The meeting place at 11 hasn't been confirmed and as this is our first time, I'll defer to others for location.

I didn't realize I already had plans for 11 tomorrow, I can't make this one but I really would love to come next time!

Sure ... there is a groomed open field in Fairport off of Ayrault Road behind the double soccer field. You can park in the soccer parking lot and take the walkway on the right side of the field, past the soccer fields and up the hill to the open field. It can get very muddy in the south west corner but the rest is pretty good.

I'm up for it but is there any planned romp time for the pups or only sedate walking. I have an energetic runner and don't want to disrupt others.

why don't we plan on starting at the fields first for some playtime @10/10:15 and then head over to the canal @11? Kris- you know exactly how to get to the field, maybe you can post the directions for others.

Kris - we can always take Blue and Murphy to the fields before the walk to burn off some of the extra energy. might be better for Murphy anyways since he gets super hyper excited when he's "fresh" -not ideal for a walk along the water unless i want to go in after him ;)

is there a meetup point yet? we could meet at the gazebo by the canal/bridge on Main Street, just north of the library if you want.
