"The younger Chenier has put his own distinct mark on the music which remains unparalleled as a party starter." BILLBOARD

"Rocked-up, infectious energy. A guaranteed crowd-pleaser and an authentic Zydeco master." THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE

“C.J. Chenier attacks the accordion with the tension & drive of James Brown, creating contemporary, turbo-charged dance music.” BOSTON GLOBE

"Chenier's molasses-streaked, soulful, bluesy voice has contributed to a highly energized brand of zydeco. CJ Chenier’s music is a mix of soul-drenched ballads and blistering romps." MINNEAPOLIS CITY PAGES

"Aspirants to the zydeco throne vacated by Clifton Chenier's death in 1987 are many but Clifton's son C.J. may well be the true royal successor. CJ jams with authority on his squeeze box and sings with indisputable conviction. He lets the blues and funk rip like a strong wind off the Gulf." DOWNBEAT

There's a dance area cleared under the tent, behind the sound booth.

We have permission from Kerri to park at the new Tango Cafe parking lot @ 35 S Washington St. This will be our new home in September for Zydeco @ The Tango.
From 490 westbound, take exit 14 & turn left onto Spring St. This will take you to the parking lot behind the Jonathan Child House (home of Tango Cafe) & Big Brothers Big Sisters building.
Here's the link to view nearby shuttle stops:

Let's meet by the sound booth. If it's raining, we can move tables and chairs under the tent to make room for dancing.

So are we meeting at a specific time and location, or might we just maybe possibly happen to run into each other? I vote for the former, given the likely size of the crowd!!!!
