Join Bob and this small group of photographers for this Urban Photo Safari in Downtown Chicago, Illinois! There is SO much to explore in Chicago that this workshop will concentrate on the traditional Downtown Chicago area.

Starting on Saturday, August 24th in the morning through mid-day on Monday, August 26th, the group will be learning about and photographing Architectural and urban landscapes. The Photography Workshop will include time photographing the area as well as training sessions, review sessions and group discussions.

If you are looking for a lodging - act now! Bob will be staying at the Inn of Chicago. Rooms are on sale RIGHT NOW on Groupon (offer expires Monday May 27th) . A single is $83 + tax per night. A double is $90 + tax per night. (Parking is extra.) Saturday night's rate is slightly higher. Bob has a room for Saturday and Sunday night. The group will be photographing on the Inn of Chicago's roof top lounge at least one evening. You don't have to stay at the hotel to participate in the photo safari. If the Groupon promotion is over, rooms purchased directly from the hotel are starting at $118 + tax per night. I DO NOT HAVE ROOMS RESERVED. Given the plethora of choices - staying with friends, alternative hotel choices, etc. in Chicago, I did not make reservation for the group. Please contact me if you need help coordinating a room.

Chicago offers a wide variety of photography opportunities. Millennium Park with the Bean is just the beginning. Navy Pier, endless buildings and Churches fill the area. The group will be photographing around the River as well. This will be a very active Photography Workshop. There will be "down" time for discussions and training time, but there will be many hours out exploring the area and chasing the light! All the exploration will be on foot. Sunrise is just after 6 am each day. Sunset is running just after 7:30 pm each day. The opportunity for a night photography with the urban lights is also in the plan! There will be a group meeting in August to review the agenda for the 3 days.
