Lightroom Workshop - Development / Editing of Images

Details
In this, the 2nd workshop in the Lightroom Series, Bob will discuss processing of images in Lightroom. If you are experienced with this software, you do not have to take all 3 workshops to benefit from this class.
The focus this month is on Lightroom - the post processing software that Bob uses in his professional photography work. He strongly recommends it for photographers of all levels! Lightroom is an extremely powerful tool for organizing your images, editing your images and printing your images. While it covers a lot of ground, it is fairly user friendly!
The Lightroom series is broken up into three separate and unique workshops. Participants are welcome to take one, two or all three. There are no pre-requisites to attending any single workshop, just understand that each workshop focuses on unique features of the software and there will be limited time to address off-topic questions.
The "Develop Module" will be where we spend our time for this workshop. We will start with what are referred to global adjustments, such as brightening, or darkening the entire image. Adjusting the color temperature (white balance), sharpening, lens correction, etc. If you don't know what all these terms mean, don't worry. I will move slowly, and I always encourage you to stop me and ask questions if you feel lost. After we are comfortable with global adjustments and the ability to save them as presets, we will move into localized adjustments that allow us to target only a portion of the image. I recommend Lightroom to just about everyone that asks me what software they should use because it is great for both organizing as well as developing digital images.

While I love to write, I don't have the time or resources to write out lengthy software based handouts for these workshops, especially when several great resources already exist. This entire group of Lightroom workshops will be strongly based upon the recommended text. I urge you to both buy it, and bring it along to the workshop.
You are encouraged to bring your laptop to the workshop.
Adobe provides a free 30 day trial download, so if you don't already own it, you can download the trial version on your laptop and bring it to the class. Please bring a variety of images to practice on during the workshop.
