Making installers for your projects

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • When you create something cool that you want to share, it's important to make it very easy to install. Many people are perplexed by installation, especially when trying to satisfy one dependency requires another and another, like

    pip install blah
    "pip not found"
    easy_install pip
    "easy_install not found"
    apt-get install easy_install

It would be nice to distribute your projects and tell people to just type
"python install"! Learning to set this up in a reliable way is a high priority for me!
