Re: [roleplayers-527] future meetup events

I have been a very quiet member of the group, but seeing all this talk of gaming had made me want to speak up. I would love to run almost anything on Saturday afternoons. I am on Park Ave, so the closest gaming store is Pair-A-Dice (hope I spelled it correctly).
I have been a GM and player since '82 and have run tons of stuff. I have an pretty heft gaming book collection and am dying to try some of them out! Currently, I am running Amber Diceless Roleplaying for some friends on Saturday nights. Please feel free to drop me a line.

I'd love to play D&D version 3.5.  The next several weeks are very bad for me, but this summer weekdays pretty much any time are flexible (weekends not so much).  How does that work for other people?

I posted this on meetup but I'll paste here as well.

I haven't table topped since 2nd Edition and the old World of Darkness. I've made an occasional effort to re-enter the scene but have always run into a usual set of obstacles. No active local groups, it can be daunting to learn a new system (The Pathfinder rule book is quite dense), and my work schedule. I'd like to pick it up again as I could really use the creative outlet. I also have a bit of a drive to get to Rochester which is why I haven't made it to a monthly meeting to introduce myself.

I would be interested in playing in a weekend game of Pathfinder (which is the extension of dnd 3.5). I even have a published campaign (Rise of the Runelords) I was thinking about running for 4 or 5 players. Saturday afternoons would be best because of the availability of table space at Pair-a-Dice. Could run every week or maybe every other week. I could be more familiar with the rules and spells than I am though.

I would also REALLLY like to get into a rpg/miniatures Battletech game since I have just been getting into the system. Would have to be a military style scifi campaign though.

I would DEFINITELY be interesting in running and/or playing a roleplaying game.  I am totally agnostic about the system.  I'm currently enamored with FATE (and the FATE Core book is coming out soon!), but a d20 variant would probably be easier for new players to grasp.  I also have all of the DnDNext playtest materials, if anyone would like to playtest that train wreck before it goes completely off the rails.  I can't host, unfortunately, but I'd be happy to gamemaster.

Since everyone else is casting their net, I would absolutely love to play in an ongoing Pathfinder, DnD (3.5 or 4e are what I know), or WoD game! I would offer to DM, but I am really, really bad at it.

I am also interested in D&D but I would be new to it. Don't know if that would be a problem. Kerry

I really want to play D&D 3.0. I've been asking around for over 7 years and no one plays anymore. My schedule is awfully constricted right now, so if anyone is hosting an evening game on Sundays or Mondays, or between 10-2 on Tuesdays, I'll be all over that.

I've been hoping to find a D&D game too.  I teach Monday nights this semester, though, and I have a day teaching job as well, of Mark's availability, that leaves Sunday nights.  But I'd be all over that too. :)
