Clinton Clean-Up Day!

Help Clean Up the Clinton River Watershed!

As part of the 2013 Clinton Clean Up Day sponsored by the Clinton River Watershed Council, Sierra Club Rochester ECOs is organizing a river clean up event in Pontiac!

We have chosen one of our Adopt-A-Stream monitoring locations where we have found a fair amount of garbage polluting the riverbank. Our cleaning efforts during the last 3 years have had a positive impact on the area and we'd like to continue this work. You can make a difference in our water quality and the health of the Clinton River. Join us!

Event duration: 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Parking: Auto Zone parking lot across the street on Perry St.

CRWC will provide materials (trash bags, gloves, waders). THANK YOU!

Great work everyone! We had a good time and continue to make a difference to this site each year! We found we were picking up more small items and not as many big ones!

It was the guys and I at this event... and boy did the do a good job at cleaning our site! We collected 2 regular bags of recyclables, 5 small + 3 jumbo bags of trash, 2 lawn chairs, 1 tarp, 1 pallet, 1 tractor tire, 1 bicycle tire, 1 sofa cushion, 1 8-ft fiber glass pole & 1 large piece of glass. Sounds like a lot, but we found a lot less trash this time... which is good news. I'm so proud of the results we have accomplished during the last 4 years at this location! We are clearly ready to move upstream next year. Thank you guys for your positive impact on our stream site!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
