Green Lecture Series: Our Clinton River, An Area Of Concern?

Join Sierra Club Rochester ECOs presenting Jeremy Geist, Watershed Ecologist for the Clinton River Watershed Council, who will talk about the status of the Clinton River Watershed and current efforts being made to further improve it. Jeremy will also be giving a 101 on “Areas of Concern”, the federal designation given to areas around the Great Lakes that have experienced environmental degradation. The Clinton River Watershed is one of forty three designated sites. We will learn about the work being done to remove the Clinton River Watershed from the "Areas of Concern" list and how you can get involved to help.

We bring each month an excellent speaker with a interesting topic, full of practical information. Discussion and questions are very welcome. Learn what you can do to protect our planet's water, land, air, and all its inhabitants!
