Introduction

I am a loud mouthed red head. I have been riding both road and mountain bike for several years. I'm a big fan of coming home from any ride exhausted with something to talk about.

How often and where do you like to ride?

I ride as often as I can. right now it's once a week on trails, I try to commute to work every day rain or shine.

What is your current weapon(s) of choice? 26", 29er, hard tail, fully, carbon, etc...

Currently I ride a 2005 Yeti 575. typical all mountain build

How would you rate your technical riding ability 1-5? ..................... 1 "Smooth and easy" .......... 3 "Rocks, roots, logs & drops are ok with me" .......... 5 "I'm a downhill machine, rocky, rooty drops at high speeds!"

I would say a 3.5 . Definately taking it a bit easier as I get older. ( I'll leave that to the young guys)

How would you rate your climbing ability 1-5? ............................... 1 "I climb because I have to, not because I want to" .......... 3 "Climbing doesn't really bother me" ............... 5 "Lance, I climb it because its there and I like it!"

4. Somedays a little more like a three. But I won't let anyone know when those days are. Ripping down hill is fun, but climbing back up is impressive.

  • Ben, I have been going from Pittsford to the Basin with Mary Beth twice a week, we are going again tomorrow morning. I figure keep it at that and then by the 3rd week go to Fairport and back.
Does that sound cool? We have been doing it in the morning, less traffic and good for our schedules. I figure if we plan on doing a ride in the afternoon at 5:30 or so on a Tuesday or Wed. would be good.
    Thoughts?

  • Ben, looking to set up an East side ride on the canal. You interested? I was thinking of Wednesday or Thursday as good days to do it.
