Introduction
Hi, I have been riding since 07 in the Ithaca area and this is my first full season in the Rochester area. I ride 06 Giant Trance and am super excited that Monroe County opened parks for trail riding.
How often and where do you like to ride?
I like to ride 3 times a week. My favorite place to ride is shindagin hollow state forest down by Ithaca, but I dig west bay park. Looking to venture out to some of the other parks this season. Dryer Road is not my favorite park.
What is your current weapon(s) of choice? 26", 29er, hard tail, fully, carbon, etc...
I am with my trusty Giant Trance. She is awesome, my husband built her up for me for comfort and major fun.
How would you rate your technical riding ability 1-5? ..................... 1 "Smooth and easy" .......... 3 "Rocks, roots, logs & drops are ok with me" .......... 5 "I'm a downhill machine, rocky, rooty drops at high speeds!"
I like it rooty and rocky. Not afraid of a fun rock garden or a good drop. Not ready for whiteface but trail riding is fun. Since I can relocate my own shoulder now, I am a little more daring. Nothing ruins a great ride like a trip to the ER.
How would you rate your climbing ability 1-5? ............................... 1 "I climb because I have to, not because I want to" .......... 3 "Climbing doesn't really bother me" ............... 5 "Lance, I climb it because its there and I like it!"
I don't mind to climb, how else are you going to get to the top. I enjoy a balanced ride, tight single track that makes you pay attention.
