Climb Tuesday Eve @ Mesa Rim (w/ Discount)

Hey all,

Let's meet up from  5:30 - 8:00 pm and hit the walls at Mesa Rim for a few hours. This is a great chance to meet new climbers, find that outdoor partner, and power-up for the weekend climbing trips. New members will have to take a belay test before hitting the ropes and those interested in lead climbing should bring their own rope. Look for Bill and I can get you partnered up with another climber. We'll usually be stretching out in the open area  by the bathrooms. You can also talk to the staff and ask for Bill from the meetup group and they can help you find us.

Note: This is not a meetup for absolute first time beginners. Mesa Rim offers beginner belay lessons. Please call them to schedule a beginner lesson on a prior day before coming to the meetup.

Mention that you're with the Rock Climbers of San Diego Meetup group and get $2 off a day pass (regularly $17). An RSVP by 5 pm on event day is required to receive the discount as they will be checking the RSVP list.

See you there

Hey - this'll be my first event with the group. I've climbed on and off before (maybe up to 5.10ish level indoor at one point), never done lead climbing (but have lead belayed a few times), looking to improve and build my strength back up. I'll probably usually end up doing the morning sessions, I just happen to have something in the morning this time.

I am belay certified (actually have a membership at Mesa Rim that needs to get some more use).
