RCCS Anniversary Picnic

The weekend looks great for climbing at Shelf, so lets go to Canon City and get together to celebrate another great year of climbing!!!  Ben has graciously offered his home for this, so come on out and share some food and drink with the group; reconnect with old friends; make new friends; talk about the meetup and maybe tell a few lies, er, stories, about your latest rock climbing adventures!

This event is BYO drinks and grillables.  Ben has offered to keep this event going into the evening, if folks want to stick around, and there is plenty of space if you want to stay the night (especially if you will be drinking; bring a pad and sleeping bag) and climb again on Sunday.

A few things we will need:

Gas grill with fuel (maybe 1 more depending on numbers)

A couple folding tables, several chairs

Paper plates, plastic utensils

4 to 8 bags of ice (10 lb)

If anyone can bring any of the above, please state so in your rsvp.  Also, I encourage folks to bring a side dish to share but this is not mandatory.  Again, please list any such side dishes in your rsvp.

Is anyone headed down Saturday evening for this event? I hurt my ankle and can't drive. No climbing for me this weekend, but I'd like to spend some time with the group.

Is this going to be a potluck event? Should I bring food or drink?

Yes, bring what ever you want to throw on the grill, and a side to share.

I'll snag the paper plates/utensils, and bring some form of side/snack... Thinking it's been a while since I've made guac.
