The Brothers Butler need no introduction.

This is an outdoor situation; bring jacket if needed, and wear casual shoes to handle the combination of concrete and grass.  Bringing a lawn chair not recommended, as it'll be packed with attendees standing.

Beer/whine garden on site, tho you can't take your drink outside of it.

Admission is free.  For transpo, there's a subway stop right there, named "Pershing Square."

PARKING OPTIONS:

1.  West side of Olive Street between 7th & 5th, free yellow loading zones open up by 7pm after the towing zone is done.

2.  West side of Olive Street between 7th & 5th, some metered spaces.  They open up after the towing zone is done at 7pm, and are $1.25 per 15 minutes.  Good to ace one right at 7pm.

3.  A lot on Olive between 6th & 7th, on the west side of the street; usually $5.

4.  $7 in the park's garage subterranean directly beneath the park.  Enter on eastbound 6th.

Hi Cousteau - I was there with my 1 guest but by the time we got thru security I'm not even sure what time it was - 8:30 - 8:45. I went over to the Beer Garden and didn't see you, then I went over to the very center for awhile and stayed there for 2 songs. The sound there was very muddy so we moved much further up - on the left side facing the stage and though we really couldn't see much the sound was much better and clearer - right before they played the Ghost in You - 3rd song I think.

Anyway, I see your frustration and I get it but wanted to let you know that I wasn't a No Show. Thanks for trying - I am still very glad I went as the 6 or 7 songs I knew made the evening worthwhile - especially FOR FREE - well worth that price. Thanks again.

Hi Doug, and thanks for your feedback. BTW, I was indeed at the beergarden exactly when you say you were; in position sitting at the prescribed place of its northernmost edge. I sat there by myself for half an hour, exactly 8:30pm till 9; then effing left, as nobody understandably showed up.

I am grateful to the people who had spread the blankets right in front of the stage, it made space for me to get a good view even after late arrival. The sound was great there but, Cousteau, the mix started off very muddy so unfortunately you may have witnessed the worst part of the show. Again, I thought they were fantastic after all these years.

I'm going to be there but I'm not going to be able to hang with the group so I took my name off.

DL -- thanx for letting me know you wouldn't be there. It's appreciated, as opposed to my having to wait around and keep looking around for someone who's not gonna show.

The line was ridiculous as it wrapped literally around the entire city block. I was not in the prescribed position till 8:30pm, and of course no RSVPs came by at that point to hook up although I still sat there waiting half an hour. I should have known better than to schedule a meetup at a huge/free event with no reserved seating. Never again. Will give all you unseen RSVPs a pass on this one, due to the ridiculousness of the situation.

Caught the first three songs; they were not particularly good, upon which I booked out to see the Flamin' Groovies absolutely rock the Echoplex down. A GREAT, unforgettable night of pure R&R! Two or three encores, too. G-d love the F'in' G's. :-D

Sorry I didn't get to hang out but when I got there at 7.30 the line stretched round the block and didn't make it in until about 8.15 .

Back to the 80's with an evocative set by the Furs. I loved every minute and was pleased to see the brothers looking fit.
