Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens 3rd Annual Butterfly Exhibit!

There should be some good macro and nature photography opportunities. We will meet in the lobby at 10:00 and stay until our memory cards are full! For those interested, we can grab lunch afterwards at a local restaurant.

NOTE: Nicholas Conservatory does charge an admission of $8.00. Check their website for details.

From their website:
After enduring a brutally cold and snowy winter, we are excited to welcome spring with the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens 3rd Annual Butterfly Exhibit! Enjoy being surrounded by live butterflies in the tropical conservatory and see the whole butterfly lifecycle in action as you view butterflies emerge from their chrysalis and watch monarch caterpillars munch on milkweed. Visitors will see butterflies typically seen in Northern Illinois during the late summer months.

I just want to learn some photography techniques. I haven't invested in a good camera yet. I hope it's ok to bring my iPhone for the first few trips and learn from y'all as to what would be a good beginner camera to buy up.

No problem. iPhone cameras are welcome. They can take some nice pictures.

I hope I am able to make it to the next meetup, as I have to travel to Indiana tomorrow. But, yes, I pretty impressed with my iPhone camera.
