Love, Loss, and What I Wore" is a hilarious collage of experiences that women share in their lives, and a feel good play celebrating women of different ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. Wonderfully different and uniquely staged, this play offers men insightful belly laughs about the opposite sex...and is a perfect evening out for a group of women friends who have and continue to share insights about each other's lives.

The critically acclaimed Ephron brilliantly uses recollections of What They Wore to trigger memories and share what clothes say when we are trying to find our identity through them. Funny, powerful, sweet & saucy; goes right to your heart and soul!

Directions and Parking info from the web:

Directions & ParkingParkingNyack is delightful, charming, and resplendent with culture. There are fantastic restaurants, nightclubs, antique shops, pubs, street fairs, and lots of special events in our little river village bustling with tourism. Parking can be challenging. Elmwood Playhouse, like most businesses in Nyack, does not have on-site parking. On weekends, we recommend you get to the theatre at least 30 minutes early to find parking. Be aware of parking signs and regulations as they will ticket, and nothing can ruin a good mood like a $25.00 parking fine. Best Bet: municipal parking lot on Main St, across from Park St.

You do not need to leave a performance to feed the meters.

The meters can be pre-fed earlier in the evening and will go into effect at eleven.
This means that if you put in .75c in the machine you will get a receipt reflecting 12 midnight, the hour you just bought. Cool.

Parking meters are in effect from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm.
They go back into effect at 11:00 pm until 6:00 am.
Evening meters will allow for pre-purchase of up to eight hours of parking in advance. Those attending the theater can put in a quarter (or more) at any time between 6PM and 11 PM and receive a meter ticket that begins at eleven and is good for the amount of time purchased.

DINNER after at Tarantellas just a short walk from the playhouse at 128 Main St. Nyack, NY. [masked]-3583.  Check out their deliciosa menu at: http://tarantellapizza.com/MENU.html

I will be at this play with previously purchased tickets and see you there. The play should be great!!
Parking is usually tough in Nyack but on Sundays there is usually parking at banks and other things that are unavailable on other days.
I do not think we will join you for dinner because we usually go next door to a Thai restaurant but I will check with my 2 friends and let you know if want to join you at Tarantellas.

    January 29, 2014

  • Ellen

Mea Culpa, Susan; I will be joining the group at Tarantella's.
