Private Group Tour & Hike of the Audubon Greenwich Center!

Lets’ head to Connecticut for a special spring treat! Thanks to Carey who told me about The Audubon Greenwich  Center, I was able to arrange a private 2 hour tour for our group.  Jeff who works at the center will show us a short film in the Kimberlin Nature Ed. Center, give us a tour and history of the center and than take us on some of the trails for a hike of about 1 1/2 hours on fairly easy woods trails with varying terrain and some moderate ups and downs.

Hiking boots or shoes recommended, sneakers okay too.

This event is limited to 50 people and there is a charge of $10.00 per person. PLEASE BRING CASH TO SAVE TIME FOR EVERYONE and  so we can squeeze everything in to the 2 hours!

Optional dinner after at The Doral Arrowwood Pub about 10 minutes away available for the first 35 to RSVP yes for dinner . Doral Arrowwood  is 5.1 miles from the Audubon center located at 975 Anderson HIll Rd. in Rye Brook NY. .

This is a separate RSVP then for the event so make sure you sign up for dinner if you are interested.  Please bring cash to make check out quicker and easier for everyone.  Individual checks may be available. The PUb is located downstairs in the Doral Arrowwood Hotel, the last building with the circular driveway.  Park in the guest lots to the right of the hotel.

Directions to Doral Arrowwood from Google: 1) Head south on Riversville Rd. (2.7 miles)  2) Turn right onto Sherwood Ave. (1 mile)  3) Turn left onto NY 120A S / King St.  (.7 mi)  4) TUrn right onto Anderson HIll Rd. Doral Arrowwood  Hotel will be on your rt. in about a mile.

We are now officially  “tri”state”!

SCROLL DOWN FOR DIRECTIONS TO THE CENTER: Carpooling could be helpful. Post if you are interested in carpooling, willing to drive and how many you could take and plan your arrangements accordingly.

A very good way to celebrate Earth Week (which I just made up). Jeff was an excellent naturalist guide. Near perfect weather didn't hurt either. I've never been to the center before, it's really not all that hard to get to from Rockland; might come back for the raptor weekend in the fall.

Thanks, Susan, for another wonderful adventure. Our guide Jeff was very knowledgable about plant and animal life at the Center as well as personable. The Pub at Arrowwood was a great spot to eat, imbibe and mingle with friends. And of course, the Meetup folk were fabulous.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
