Lets' venture across the Tappan Zee Bridge and hike on over to The Rockefeller State Park Preserve; The Jewel of Westchester! This will be about a 3 hour hike, at a moderate pace, including breaks, to "take in all the views". The woods trails, are mostly level, with a few moderate inclines. We will take Brothers Path, alongside the beautiful Swan Lake. Shortly after, we'll pick up the Brook Trail into the woods, where we may see the frequent equestrian! We’ll continue on to the Stone Barns for an extra special treat! We'll spend about 1 hour here, visiting with the many “4-legged new Moms" and their spring babies! You may also want to bring cash, credit cards, etc. for a visit to the gift shop. Returning on the RT trail to Brothers Trail, we'll come back around Swan Lake and maybe take a quick hike up Deer run, where we are bound to see a few white tailed deer or if there is time take a stop at the Glacial erratic, a short walk from the parking lot.
Hiking shoes or boots are recommended. Bring sunscreen, bugspray, water, snacks and don't forget those cameras! Let's explore the other side of the bridge at this exceptional park and celebrate spring and the new lives at the Stone Barns!!!
