Lets’ celebrate the longer days and warmer weather with our traditional beautiful sunset walk around Rockland Lake. This will be about a 1 1/4 hour walk at a moderate pace with one short break. The path is paved and level so all you need are good walking, hiking shoes or sneakers. Bring water, sunscreen, bug spray (just in case) and don't forget your cameras since there are plenty of photo opts! Not for singles only.
Remember on these shared pathways, to always keep to the right, to make way for cyclists, skaters and other pedestrians to pass safely. Scroll down for more details:
PARKING IS FREE AFTER 6PM.
Meet us at Parking Lot 1, by the flag pole, in front of the big park office. Drive in thru the Congers, North entrance, at the light and follow the signs bearing left, for parking field 1, which will be on your right. If you come in the other entrance, just look for parking field 1 or you may need to return to 9W and head north to the northern entrance.
Refreshments are available at Dunkin Donuts, Ricks or Casa Del Mare, all close by for those who may be interested after the walk. SCROLL DOWN FOR A PICTURE OF THE PARK OFFICE BUILDING in Parking lot 1 where we’ll be meeting. If you get there late we will be heading south toward the fishing station, to your right if you are facing the park office.
