Do you love reading authors like Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Byron Katie and Thich Nhat Hanh?
Are you looking for meaningful and committed friendships with local people on a spiritual path?
Do you want to learn and apply spiritual principles to help with everyday life issues?
If so, we welcome you and hope you find what you are looking for in our group.
Who we are: The three word title says it all, "Rockville Spiritual Friends". We are a group of warm, caring friends from Rockville, Gaithersburg and nearby areas who meet on a regular basis to discuss spiritual topics that help us in our daily lives. We're all equals, we are here only to share our personal experience on the current topic and each person brings a valued and important contribution to the group. If you're looking for real friendships with local people on a spiritual path, this is the right group for you.
What we do: This is an open discussion to talk about topics of spiritual growth, inner peace, and positive awareness. We discuss authors like Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh, Wayne Dyer, Tara Brach and other similar topics. We focus on spiritual principles, not specific religions or beliefs. Each person has their own interpretation of spirituality and members do not try to convince each other to any particular way of thinking. Our primary purpose is to focus on our own spiritual growth, to accept each other exactly as we are, as we all learn and grow in our own personal journey.
Why we meet: Anyone can read books alone, but group discussion provides awareness and clarity that we may not recognize on our own. This is not a support group, we're not here to analyze the past, give advice, or focus on solving specific problems. Our goal is to explore spiritual solutions, and encourage each other as we apply them in our daily lives. All that matters now is what we do about it NOW.
Where and When: We meet at 7pm on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays every month at a private home near I-370 and Shady Grove Rd. We also have social events and dinner parties at other locations in the Rockville area. (Please Note: Marketing or promotions of any kind are not allowed at our meetings.)
We welcome you, and hope to see you at our next meeting.
Thank you, Charlie and Carolyn.
