Axis and Allies...what else would i be contacting you about?!?!?!?

This email is going out to all the members of our group in an attempt to once again encourage everyone to get more actively and frequently involved in gaming with us on our game days.

Primarily due to how long it takes to play a single game of Axis and Allies, it’s always, since the days of “Classic”, been a very difficult game to find players for. And with each revision to the game, (Revised, AA50, Spring 1942, Europe 1940, Pacific 1940 and now Global 1940), the games playing time has gotten even longer, making the task of finding players even more difficult! Also, while each separate game has gone through its share of changes (some pros and some cons), each separate game has also experienced its separate share of fans (and non fans). Meaning, some of us (for what ever reasons) that still love the Classic game are not really interested in the Revised or the Spring 1942 games and some of us that love the AA50 or the G40 games are no longer interested in the Classic, or the Revised games and some of us don’t like any of the versions, preferring “house rule” games over all "Box" versions. so, while game the games revisions may have added or subtracted more depth and dimension to the game over the years, each revision has also resulted in creating separate fan bases for each different game, making it even more difficult to find players for Axis and Allies simply because now there are so many versions to choose from. But, finding players to Meetup with, to play A&A (any version) in face to face games, is the primary reason this group exists!

So, I’m asking all members interested in playing any version of axis and allies, other than the Global 1940 version, to contact me to discuss how they can help me with getting the separate "fan based players" of our group more involved in gaming with us on our game days.

If’ I’ve confused anyone with my rambling, I’ll try to ask it again in fewer words here.

I’m sending this email, asking players interested in playing Axis and Allies:
Anniversary Addition (AA50),
Spring 1942,
Europe 1940,
Pacific 1940,
Battle of the Bulge,
etc, etc.
…to contact me to discuss how we can get others in our group to play those specific games with you on our game days. i.e. tell me the specific game you want to play on game day by contacting me (BEFORE a game day) and I will help you to Meetup with others in our group (on our game days) also interested in playing that specific game.

I hope what i'm asking of members in this email is clear enough and I look forward to hearing from everyone interested in playing other versions of A&A besides the Global 1940.  Matt, Jeff...i'm guessing i should be hearing fro the two of your for sure...right?
