Just Sit and Be, a time for practice. Meditate

With a brief introduction on sitting postures and how to maintain them, we will sit for at least 20 min.  Then we will discuss how it went, re-adjust and sit some more...

Bring a cushion, or sit in one of our chairs.

We will explore basic meditation for mindfulness, concentration, focus, and insight. We will go through how to deal with tiredness, numb legs, changing positions, interruptions, noises, cats and dogs and all kinds of things that can hamper (maybe enhance) your practice. This is a fun and easy time to get to know some 'tricks' that even monks use. We will use techniques that are very old, tried and true over the last 2500 years as well as some that are very 'new'... We will sit in chairs for this one, you may bring cushions if you like.
