AngularJS Mobile

Hi Angulars -

We will be continuing our discussion focused on AngularJS on mobile along with the Ionic Framework (http://ionicframework.com/).  In the last session, we had really good discussions, but didn't have time to code.  Let's change that.

For this session, we'll start off with a brief review (~ 15 mins) for those who missed the last one, answer any questions and make sure everyone at least has the basics.  From there we'll discuss dev environments and what is really needed for the examples we'll be building and Angular dev in general.  Please bring your cool tips to share for this part!

We'll take a break around 6:45 or so for some food, networking and to let people finish dev installs/setup/etc.

From 7:00 until ~ 8:00, we'll work on code, answer questions and discuss key points and tips regarding Angular and Hybrid mobile apps.

All skill levels are welcome, but if you are totally new to JavaScript and JS frameworks, please plan to team up with someone to follow along. We can only cover so many fundamentals in our short meetings together, but we can definitely help you with a list of resources to start your learning on the right path.

Please plan to bring your laptop, tablet or whatever you develop on. This will be a working session where we discuss, explore and try out code.

See you at the meetup!

Maybe we could have a team teaching meetup. If anyone has something they need help on. I would be up for that type of format.

Peer coding review sessions is a good idea. Please add this to the topic "Denver South Meetup Ideas" over in the discussion area. Thanks.

Thank you so much. I went to one AngularJs meeting. Out of all the meetups I've been to in Denver this group was my favorite. It was the most engaging. But it has cost a mint to drive up to Denver from Pueblo. I really need to start a meetup in Pueblo. I'll write to Rich. TY for being so cool.

If anyone is stuck on a problem and needs help, if I can help, I would be more than happy to help.

Thanks for the great participation last night everyone. There were several new and creative ideas for our meetings going forward and we had more members offering to share their projects for group feedback and discussion. I will create a new thread in the Discussions area for everyone to contribute their ideas/suggestions for the next set of meetings.

I need a job. Does anyone know who needs an Angular JS app developer for .net and SQL Server.

Hey David, try reaching out to Nick Gasparro at Code (the host site of the downtown AngularJS meetup). I think he is looking for someone with similar skills for a client right now.

Is there a new plan for this meetup or are we going to continue with the theme from last meetup of mobile technologies related to AngularJS?

Hey Squid! Yeah, my apologies to you and the rest of the group for not posting an update yet. I will get fresh details out tonight, but conceptually I want to try out Tony's idea he posted in the Discussion area. Hopefully we can get some really good input from multiple people regarding what they're working on, challenges, neat solutions, etc. More to come soon...
