It was great to meet everyone and see what is going on so close to where i live. The planning session was good. There were many good ideas presented.

I can bring a cooler. Should we all bring our own plates, cutlery etc?

    June 29, 2013

    • Marian W.

If you have your own cutlery, plates, etc, that'd be great to bring. Otherwise, I'm packing everything I think we'll need. For our next potluck, I'll be more specific as everyone bringing their own stuff makes sense and is greener. :-)

Could someone bringing a cooler for the food? It will be so hot tomorrow! I have ice packs, but only a small cooler.

Thanks, Bob! I only have a small cooler as well. Glad we have misters on the hoses - that's how we humans can stay cool(er)!

Oh, and if you have a Rodgers Ranch "Learn by Doing" T-shirt, please wear it for the picture. If you don't have one and would like one, we have a few more for $10.

YEEHAW! How exciting! I'll be bringing this - it's delicious! (Unless someone has a food allergy to something in it- feel free to comment) http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/...

Zantha, that salad looks awesome. I'm hoping you can harvest the green beans out of the garden. Wishing we'd planted radishes, but it's not too late for the season. If you feel compelled to add a grain, may I request quinoa? John and I are gluten-sensitive (but there will be plenty to eat, so if cous cous sounds better to you, add that, and we'll graze contentedly on another yummy dish.

I will try and harvest some green beans depending on what is ready :-) I actually have never added a grain to it - but if the spirit moves me I'll make sure it's quinoa

I'll Try and bring my cousins the MN misfits that were there today and also want to keep helping. What would be good to bring for the potluck?

Hi, Dorothy! Something in season, simple and close to the earth - watermelon? Stone fruits or fruit salad?

      June 18, 2013

  • Janet C.

Checked my schedule and I'm off that weekend so I'll be able to make it to the potluck. Was thinking that since the squash is going to be going crazy that I'd make ratatouille, essentially a farm to table potluck dish with a few extra ingredients. Please let me know of any food allergies or sensitivities. Will make two - one vegan, one vegetarian. See you there!

That's awesome news! I'll definitely be there if I don't have to work.

Would LOVE to see you there. More good news - one of your seeds is now a seedling :-).

Oh, wow, that is good news. Really interested in seeing how it does and how it'll taste once it's grown.

I'll check my work schedule to be sure I can make it and figure out what to bring.
