Good bug/bad bug - what to look for in the garden. + Broccoli/brassica starts!

We're awash in squash bugs, spotted and striped cucumber beetles (very, very bad) and ants (a very significant sign), but are beginning to see ladybugs and syrphid fly larvae. Hmm - is that soldier fly larvae in the new Worm Castle? Is that good?

Come and find out the good, the bad and the squirmy. And there's a prize for whoever catches and kills the most squash bugs!

It's a rare combo fruit & flower day.  We have flowers to transplant IF we have a watering team to come behind them, plus we have bush beans to transplant and seeds to start broccoli and romanesco.

The weather should be PERFECT to be outdoors!
