Seed leafy greens; harvest quinoa; prep potato beds

It's a Leaf Day, and boy, do we have every type of leafy green seed imaginable!  We'll start mustards in addition to fancy lettuces and spinaches.  Wait til you feel how warm the greenhouse is now that John has put the panels back in - it's Seedling Mecca!

The winds will no doubt have toppled the quinoa, and beans/beans cages.  We'll harvest the quinoa and possibly take out the beans.

We'll likely find snail and slug damage (exacerbated by the rain), so someone can go on eggshell placement patrol.

The potatoes have arrived, plus we have many to replant from last year.  The bins need filling (Hugelkultur!); Monday, 11/18 is a root day we can plant IF someone will be here over Thanksgiving to water them daily.  Otherwise, we'll wait until 12/6 to plant them.

See you tomorrow!

Yes, Natalie - there are aphids/ants on the artichokes, and I'm guessing the rain didn't eliminate the buggers from the brassicals. Please bring :-).

I'm so bummed I can't make it! I will continue to work on the batch of quinoa I brought home and hopefully have it nice and clean for next Saturday.

Sorry we'll miss you, Autumn, but there's always another Saturday. John & I will miss next Saturday, however - likely others will be there.
