Really fun night last night. A compatible group of friendly folks. I liked the free flowing book discussion and informality. Like friends talking about a book instead of a more formal Q & A. Thanks Carol for organizing this group despite your insane schedule.

Book suggestion: The One & Only by Emily Giffin
    http://www.emilygiffin.com/the-one-and-only/

Thirty-three-year-old Shea Rigsby has spent her entire life in Walker, Texas—a small college town that lives and dies by football, a passion she unabashedly shares. But when an unexpected tragedy strikes the tight-knit Walker community, Shea’s comfortable world is upended, and she begins to wonder if the life she’s chosen is really enough for her. As she finally gives up her safety net to set out on an unexpected path, Shea discovers unsettling truths about the people and things she has always trusted most—and is forced to confront her deepest desires, fears, and secrets. Thoughtful, funny, and brilliantly observed, The One & Only is a luminous novel about finding your passion, following your heart, and, most of all, believing in something bigger than yourself . . . the one and only thing that truly makes life worth living.

Oops, I posted in the wrong place. I just joined, can't come tomorrow (7/22), but hope to in the future, especially if you pick Gone Girl, which a good friend highly recommended.

Hello Again! If any if you are authors or know an author who's work you would like to promote you may bring business cards to our meetings for members to take if they would like. However as promised - I nor other authors should be using our group to promote or sell our work. But I think everyone would probably be fine with being introduced to other authors they might like. I am looking forward to meeting all of you!

Did not mean to be negative about Gone Girl. Good and twisty just not RomCom

Thanks for the clarification. I just saw someone else had mentioned it, so at the very least, maybe a good starting point for her and I to get to know each other. In other news, anyone read "Wallbanger"???

Hi ladies! I hope you all have had a chance to read the book, but if you haven't please come anyway! Our first meeting will be a time to meet each other and socialize. We will discuss the book but let's focus on fun! I have made our reservation at the Barrel Thief!

A few books I have been wanting to read are: Gone Girl, Orange is the new black, The one & only, and Fifty Shades Freed. Cheers!

I started Gone Girl and it had me hooked, but I had to stop reading it to finish a project...hope the book is chosen by the group, but it isn't a romantic comedy. Also the book has been turned into a movie and it will be released on Oct. 3rd. :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
