We are a group of entrepreneurs, engineers, educators, artists, economic developers and community leaders.
We are made up of two parts: 7hills Makerspace located at the Historic Masonic Lodge in downtown Rome, home of the most beautiful makerspace in the world. We have 3D printer, laser cutter, full woodshop, electronics bay, sewing & embroidery machines, crafts, framing & matting, as well as audio-visual production area. For those musically inclined, we have a 150-year-old organ itching to be played as well as several other instruments.
Makervillage is is a collection of startup offices atop Neely Hill across from the Clocktower. Housed by creative professionals and startups, these members often offer classes and workshops in their area of expertise.
We welcome all members of the Greater Rome and Northwest Georgia community and we hold meetups of many kinds as interest dictates.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
