RON PAUL 2012 PITTSBURGH UPDATE (Feb 17, 2012)

Well it's been an EXTREMELY busy & tiring three-weeks with massive petitioning efforts, hundreds of miles of travel, and end-of-day submissions in Harrisburg, with lots of last-minute heroics including last-day petitioning, saving at least one, possibly up to three Ron Paul supporters from being excluded from ballot consideration, in addition to running across the turnpike to exchange vital information & supplies (ever play the video game "Frogger"?).  Good news is that ALL candidates who chose to stick it out and help Ron Paul through becoming delegates & alternate delegates have made it on the ballot with TONS of signatures.  I'm not sure if the other CDs in Pennsylvania have been as successful as ours. Two of us will even be unopposed and guaranteed trips to the Republican National Committee in Tampa, and we're looking for a third person to be a ballot write-in.  It is all the more important to have as many Ron Paul supporters there as possible especially since this RNC may likely be a "Brokered Convention"...

And there's now even talk about Newt Gingrich supporters crossing over to help Ron Paul win Virginia and possibly even all of Super Tuesday on March 6th...

But let's get into the heart of the matter and mention to you what local activities are soon coming up...

Ron Paul Sign Wave, Oakland neighborhood

If you have any signs, come and bring them.  If you don't have any, come anyway.  We'll have a few extra signs & banners plus we'll need people to pass out voter registration cards and information about Ron Paul.  Weather Forecast: Partly sunny, with a high near 48. Light wind becoming west between 11 and 14 mph.  Please sign up at the Meetup group event...
as well as here if you're on Facebook...

Ron Paul Party & Debate Watch on CNN from Mesa, Arizona

If anyone can offer a suggestion on what public location this can be viewed at which can also provide the sound of the debate, please let us know.  Also desired, inexpensive drinks & food.  This will be a time to relax a little and discuss all of the crazy things that went on over the last three weeks.  Debate starts at 8pm on CNN.  Be sure you sign up at the event here...

Also, don't forget about what Ron Paul said is the most important thing you can do, the "Phone From Home" program.  Did you sign up yet for Ron Paul's "Phone From Home" program?

Finally, we've set up a donation site for you to help contribute to our campaigning costs.  If you can help financially contribute to the local Pittsburgh-area Ron Paul 2012 group, it would be appreciated. We have already spent many hundreds of dollars of our own money for costs such as transportation, filing fees, and material costs for supplies and making signs. We'd also like to rent tables at area events to promote Dr. Paul.  Anything that you can give will be appreciated. An initial donation time to end by March 1st for $1000 requested has been set.
